The Shallows

A region of the Plane of Lightning known for its high environmental hostility. It is a large wetland that extends for hundreds of miles outward in a roughly circular ring from around The Spire and consists almost entirely of ankle deep scummy water. The region is in a perpetual thunderstorm, making travel extremely difficult.

Ecosystem

Very little inhabits the region long term due to the mix of perpetual lightning and wet surrounding. The notable exception is that of the Will-o'-wisp, which seems to be native to this region of the plane.
