A race of reptilian creatures native to the Material Plane. The vast majority of them believe they are related to Dragons, but any Dragon will likely take great offense to any such implication.

Kobolds typically stand roughly 1 meter in height. They have short, stunted snouts and long tails. Their bodies are covered in scales in a variety of colors; The colors of the Chromatic Dragons are most common, though others are not unheard of. They possess moderate intelligence, which they often put to use in constructing traps and planning ambushes to capture prey.

Kobolds have a shorter life expectancy than Thadarnes, with many that do not perish in battle succumbing to old age in their 60s. Kobolds lay clutches of 4-6 eggs, which take roughly 2 months to hatch. Though less than a foot long upon hatching, they are quickly able to move and care for themselves. Their first few hours are usually spent consuming their shells and weaker clutchmates if given the opportunity. They grow steadily until the age of 5, upon which they are considered juveniles. They reach maturity at age 10, and are capable of reproducing until their deaths.
