Feymerge is the name given to the events surrounding the collision of a smaller planar grouping known as the Fey Mesh with the Planar Mesh in 1 UR. This caused the creation of a great number of Planes as well as the introduction of Fey Creatures. This other grouping had much weaker bonds than those of the Elemental Planes, resulting in its near total destruction.

Day One

In a stroke of fortune for the inhabitants of the Planar Mesh (and the great dismay of those residing in the Fey Mesh), the Fey Mesh was shredded as it passed through the Positive Energy Plane and onwards further into the inner reaches of the Elemental Planes.

Initial Months

In the weeks and months following the initial collision, a great number of Crimps opened up on the Material Plane, allowing a great number of Fey to cross over in an attempt to escape the catastrophe befalling their old homes. Many of the more society-minded races made a permanent move to Thadar En over the first few years as their homes were annihilated.

Following Decades

Over the span of the following decades, the shattered remains of the Fey Mesh began to coalesce into new planes of existence. While little is known of the nature of these planes when they formed, Deities began to take notice of the opportunity to expand their domains. Many of the more powerful gods across the realm began to work together to shape these new planes into suitable locations to preside over.

Aftermath

The core of the Fey Mesh now orbits the Planar Mesh as the Fey Sphere. Natural crimps are exceedingly rare, though some still exist across Thadar En. While the Fey Sphere is filled with life, the remaining Fey creatures view those that abandoned it during the initial events of the Feymerge as traitors, and are often hostile to intelligent life that attempts to spend extended periods of time there.
