When Petitioners make their way to the Plane of Torture, they are transformed into Abyssal Larva. These pitiful creatures are subjected to every form of abuse and torture imaginable. These acts, along with the sinful nature of the souls that tend to be attracted to the plane, result in irreversible changes to the larva. These changes are not visible on the surface, but nonetheless transform the creature over the span of centuries and millennia. After an indeterminate amount of time, these larva "hatch" into new Demons, often in a violent manner.
