The Mennesker are an ethnicity historically native to Memphur. They are more adapted to the surface than their Folketen cousins, though they still share many physical characteristics.

Physical Appearance

Male Mennesker stand on average between 3'8" and 4'4", with their female counterparts standing only a few inches shorter. Their eye colors range from dark brown to deep green. Most Mennesker are are incapable of growing hair, and those that can often shave clean to fit in with the rest of their societies. They reach physical maturity around age 25, and are considered adults shortly thereafter. Mennesker can live upwards of 250 years.

Personality and Culture

Mennesker often place more value on their work than their families.

Most of Mennesker society revolves around the ocean. They are master shipwrights and negotiates. Nyeplie was one of the first nations to circumnavigate Thadar En, and frequently handle intercontinental trade. Their language is spoken all over the world in mercantile situations, and many other languages have loan words from it due to their prevalence in global trade.
