The Folketen are an ethnicity native to Memphur.
Folketen are very reticent to give their true name to others. Instead, they often provide a name that they have earned due to action on their part. As an example, Splintershield may be given to someone who had their shield broken in a great battle.
Upon first glance, outsiders often cannot tell immediately the gender of a Folketen. Males and females are found equal as often in nearly all professions, and large beards are prized among both biological genders.
