''Mephit'' is a large category of creatures related to the [[:Category:Elemental planes|Elemental Planes]]. Similar to [[elemental]]s, mephits are mostly composed of the [[Quintessence]] of their associated element. Unlike elementals however, mephits are intelligent creatures, capable of sapient thought and culture.

While specific details vary from one element to another, all mephits resemble small winged digitigrade humanoids. They are capable of casting low echelon magic, and can manipulate matter composed of the same element as themselves.
